Autumn leaves caught on a stone in the river near Kielder Castle in Northumberland.

Thought I would post this with the weather getting colder, the crisp winter days when the Sun is shining are something to look forward to when the nights are drawing in!

This was taken last winter at Saltwell Park, though when the weather’s like that you’d think you taken a wrong turn through a wardrobe!

When I was a kid this would have been a view of slag heaps from the coke works that used to be where the park is now.  The difference is just unbelievable, if you didn’t know you would never guess what the scenery here used to be like.

This is also a great place to spot Red Kites and a dog walker told me he often sees deer in the corner of the field near where I got my shot.  Definitely more trips down there to be made!

I saw the mist this morning from the window and grabbed my camera.  Unfortunately by the time I got down there most of the mist had burned off.

This is an old one, but one of my favourites.
It’s from ‘Gamla Stan’, the old part of Stockholm.
Stockholm has to be one of the most photogenic places I’ve visited, I was lucky enough to have some time there and got some of my favourite pictures.

This is the ‘Galleria Italia’ inside the AGO – Art Gallery of Toronto in Canada.

We had an amazing day there, although it would take a lot more than a day to see the whole gallery!

Sadly, when I was there the usual photography exhibition was closed.  It was amusing though to get directions to where we could see some photography;

“Head down to the end of this corridor, turn left and you’ll see some Rembrandts.  Head past the Dutch Masters and you’ll find it on the right.”

All delivered in a German-Canadian accent!

I hope I can make it back there some day to have a look at all that we didn’t have time to catch the first time around.

A couple of guys seem to be looking toward the church reflected in this modern tower block, which they aren’t of course.

It’s interesting to see the older buildings dotted in between the high rises and skyscrapers of a big city like Toronto, where this was taken.

You don’t realise how old everything in the UK seems to be until you go somewhere like that.
